What stays on your device

Your music files, library, playlists, ratings, favorites, play counts, recently played tracks, search history, and settings are stored on your device and are never sent to us. Fetched lyrics are saved beside the song as separate files. Your own device backups include this app data.

MiniMoon requests no access to your Apple Music library, photos, microphone, camera, contacts, or location.

MiniMoon Sync

Choose a music folder on your computer to share through MiniMoon Sync. MiniMoon on your iPhone or iPad downloads its files directly over your local network. Music never passes through our servers, and the phone or tablet does not upload files back to your computer.

Any device on the same local network can read your shared folder while MiniMoon Sync is running. Use Sync only on trusted networks and quit it when you finish.

Lyrics — LRCLIB

When a song has no lyrics, choosing Fetch Lyrics sends its title, artist, album, and duration to LRCLIB, a free lyrics database, and saves the lyrics it finds. The lookup happens only when you choose Fetch Lyrics.

Scrobbling — Last.fm (optional)

To connect Last.fm, sign in on its website. MiniMoon never receives your password. Once connected, the app sends the title, artist, album, duration, and playback time of songs you play to Last.fm, under Last.fm's privacy policy. Sign out in MiniMoon’s settings whenever you want to stop scrobbling.

Purchases

On iPhone and iPad, the full-version unlock and tips are in-app purchases handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. We never receive your Apple ID or payment details.

MiniMoon for Mac is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which processes your payment. To activate a license, MiniMoon sends your key to Lemon Squeezy. It stores the email address associated with the license on your Mac to display its registered owner.

Updates

MiniMoon for Mac and MiniMoon Sync check our download server daily for updates without sending personal information. You can disable automatic checks in MiniMoon’s settings.

Crash and diagnostic reports

MiniMoon and MiniMoon Sync use Sentry, a crash reporting service in the United States, to diagnose problems and monitor app performance. Reports may include:

• a stack trace showing what the app was doing when the problem occurred
• device model, operating system and app version, language, and memory use, plus Apple's own performance diagnostics
• the open screen and playback status, without identifying the music playing
• the timing and addresses of recent network requests, which may include a song name from a lyrics lookup or the name of a file being synced
• a random identifier created when the app is installed, so we can distinguish repeated reports of the same crash from separate crashes

During some sessions, MiniMoon Sync also records a replay of its window with on-screen text masked.

We use reports only to diagnose and fix bugs. They contain no music files, library database, name, or email address. Reports are not linked to your identity or used for tracking.

Children

MiniMoon is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

Before releasing a change to our privacy practices, we will update this policy and its “Last updated” date.
